This fall, find a new way to connect, serve, and use the gifts God has given you at Mount Olive! Whether you have 30 minutes, a Saturday morning, or a few Sundays to give, there’s a place for you.
Current Needs
- Church Cleaners: We need two additional volunteers to join the rotating church cleaning schedule. Contact the church office or Jeff Bessler.
- Sunday School Helpers: Help children grow in God’s Word! Volunteers are needed to assist with Sunday School lessons, activities, and classroom support. Contact Pastor Gawel or Pastor Brauer.
- Fall Work Day – October 17, 8–11 am: Help with fall cleanup and campus maintenance. Bring yard tools or work gloves if you have them. Families welcome! Contact the Board of Church Properties or Jeff Bessler with any questions.
- Fall Festival – October 24, 2–3:30 pm: Help make Fall Festival possible! Host and decorate a trunk, or donate bags of candy or funds for candy. Sign up or drop off donations in the Atrium.
- Bake Sale Donations – October 24–26: Donate packaged baked goods for the Mission Partners Bake Sale benefiting Heritage Lutheran Church, a new mission in Arizona. Drop off items Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 am–noon.
- MLC Choir Hosts – October 25: Host two or more MLC Choir students overnight following their concert at Mount Olive. Contact Julie Neujahr.

Ongoing Needs
Coffee Cafe
The Coffee Café serves coffee, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and juice every Sunday between services. In addition to serving beverages, Coffee Café baristas also greet visitors and new members who are looking for information before and after services—and sometimes during services, too! Volunteering at our Coffee Café allows you to meet and serve your fellow members.

Greeters
The Mount Olive Greeter program exists to be Christian witnesses of God’s love to our Mount Olive family and to all who come to worship here. We want visitors at our church to feel welcome. We also hope to encourage the unchurched and those seeking a change in church membership to choose Mount Olive for their church family.

Ushering
Distribute bulletins, escort worshipers to pews and other facilities, receive offerings, control lighting, and open and close church doors. Need 60-75 ushers per year; 1 1/2 hours per service. Each usher serves on a team for one month, one service per week.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study Greeters
Thanks for helping keep our building secure! Greeters will welcome Bible Study attendees.
AV Worship Support
Your work allows everyone to follow along with the worship songs and liturgy, to see videos and announcements. Training is provided. You will shadow during a service until you feel comfortable.
Snow Removal
Help with yard work and snow removal to keep our campus beautiful and safe throughout the seasons!
