The way God chose the last Old Testament writer, Malachi, to say the last words of the Hebrew Scripture is highly interesting, comforting, and encouraging. Then, God didn’t speak through a prophet until John the Baptist, 400 years later! What happened during those so-called silent years, anyway? A lot! The Intertestamental Period is packed with conquest, social upheaval, and faction forming. Come to the sanctuary to study the book of Malachi and the following period of history.
