Who We Are

The mission of Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran School is to assist parents with the Christian training of their children for life and eternity, while providing academic excellence in the light of God's Word.

Mount Olive Lutheran School is located on the corner of Florida Avenue and Doris Lane in the Northwood Park area of Appleton, Wisconsin.  The building complex, which is connected to the church, includes classrooms, a library, a lunchroom/fellowship hall, a gymnasium, and office areas.

The school began serving 90 children in 1970 with four classrooms and four teachers.  Currently there are 11 classrooms staffed by 12 teachers.  Enrollment numbers are around 220.

In 1993 Mount Olive opened a Pre-Kindergarten program for four year olds.  The program offers two sessions per week: Monday/Wednesday mornings, or Tuesday/Thursday mornings, and optional Friday morning.

After - School Care is available for grades K-8th from 3:00 until 5:30 pm on those days when school is in session.

Mount Olive Lutheran Church also has a Christian Education Program for those who choose to receive their education at the public school.  Sunday School classes are held at 9:15 every Sunday morning during the school year.  Pre-Confirmation classes begin in the sixth grade with an overview of Bible history.  They continue studies in seventh and eighth grade with instruction in the truths of God’s Word as found in Luther’s Catechism. These Public School Instruction classes are held on Wednesdays after school.

Vacation Bible School is a summer program of Bible studies offered for children age four through sixth grade.  One week of classes is scheduled in summer.
